Ravi Teja's Career in doldrums!

Bhupathi Raju Ravi Shankar Raju [ahem…ahem] sorry

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja – yeah…this sounds pretty much like ‘Raviteja’, the synonym of dynamism and the beloved representative of the masses.

Actually after his advent only, even ‘Idiot’s got girlfriends… T’wood has got the much needed ‘Kick’k and even delegates got ‘Jinthaatha’ break at work!

But, this star hasn’t descended from Mars or Pluto. Neither had he got Godfathers in the industry to bless him. He was born here and made here…

From a mere pharmacist’s son to a ‘Minimum Guarantee Hero’…An inspirational journey of about 13 years [Can’t believe? Ask his roommates Y.V.S Chowdary and Gunasekhar]

Well we are certainly not walking you all through his career. But we are only wondering at what happened to this swashbuckling actor who has once drove the box-office bonkers with almost a double hattrick hits in the early 2000s and hits like Krishna, Kickk, Mirapakay, Don Seenu! He was on the edge of his career cliff with a ‘Minimum Guarantee Hero’ image receiving more or less a whopping Rs. 6 crore remuneration.

Of late, may be Ravi Teja wouldn’t sip his bed-coffee if ‘2012’ was brought into discussion. Because post-Veera, he had almost four big releases Nippu, Daruvu, Devudu Chesina Manushulu and recently Sarocharu. Even the lucky charm Kajal couldn’t serve him a hit [Moreover, it all started with Veera and hopefully should end with Sarocharu!]

Be it his conventional choice of films that only made him more humdrum in the name of ‘Mass Maharaja’ or his choices of directors who totally lost a clue of how to capitalize on his image or last but not least his hard time, he seems despondent now. May be that is why, he fell back on Gopichand Malineni, the man who gave him a hit like Don Seenu. With lucky dolls Sruthi Haasan and Anjali joining the troupe and the recently released impressive trailers, 'Balupu' is making the buzz in the industry and is gearing up for a summer release.

Hopefully, this Balupu plays ‘jinthaatha’ and brings this ‘Mass Maharaja’ back onto the track because the 70mm screen looks pale without this dynamite and is missing him like hell!
