'Killing Veerappan' Cuts Turned Plus Point

In your life as a director, the biggest sleepless night is when your film is going to the censor board for certification. There are many instances wherein some of the scenes you considered pivotal for the movie have been given the scissor by the censor board members.

Sometimes, it has also led to skirmishes between the board and the makers. But here is an interesting incident. After watching the film Killing Veerappan, the Censor board reportedly suggested few cuts and with this the producers were reportedly in tension as to how this will affect the film.

The eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma was cool as usual and said it will be more advantageous if the cuts are implemented because it will show Veerappan in a more cruel way. He also recalled the same happened for his cult blockbuster Shiva wherein 8 fight scenes were cut and the output was great. That way, the censor board members are becoming very good editors.
