Koratala on Srimanthudu Copy Issue

We know Mahesh’s Srimanthudu movie was not just a blockbuster but in fact the village adoption concept in the film was a great buzzmaker.

However a writer named Sharath Chandra filed a case against the makers of Srimanthudu claiming that Srimanthudu story was copied from his novel. He even filed a complaint in the Telugu Films Writers Association as well. In this regard, Srimanthudu director Koratala Siva finally chose to respond on this issue. He lashed out these plagiarism allegations made by Sarath Chandra and said he respects every other writer but this allegation on Srimanthudu isn’t true. Koratala even asserted that Srimanthudu bears no similarities with Sarath Chandra’s writings in any form.

The upcoming hearing on the case is scheduled on the 4th of March when the further course of action would be decided. Usually cases like these sprout up during the making or prior to the release of the films and end up in some sort of settlement. But this is quite unusual and hence, the industry onlookers are equally interested in the truth.
