Cinema Halls To Open From September?

As the government of India is set to issue new set of guidelines for unlockdown-4 (from 1st September), cinema industry is hopeful of reopening of theatres. Talk is that centre has drafted a plan and will grant permission for reopening of cinema halls with certain guidelines.

With 50% of seating capacity and all precautionary measures, cinema halls may be allowed to run from September 1st. But, it will take atleast a couple of weeks for things to settle down and by October, film industry may gain some boost. Already, several producers of TFI are planning in that direction.

But, medical experts are warning that the COVID-19 cases would surge if cinema halls are permitted. The air conditioned and closed door cinema hall is vulnerable to more spread the virus. Parking places, ticket counters and food zones are some of the crowded places where the virus can spread easily.

Even if government permits cinema halls, audiences apparently don't turn up in good numbers. Experts and common people want government to be extremely vigilant of theatres before permitting them. No wonder even if theatre management declines the government order.
