AR Rahman takes a sly dig at anchor speaking in Hindi

Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman is a man of few words. He is never seen speaking ill of anyone or making harsh statements in any public event or interview.

Meanwhile, the composer made everyone laugh recently by taking a sly dig at the anchor. Rahman attended the event of the film 99 songs recently in Chennai. The anchor of the event spoke to Rahman in Tamil.

All of a sudden, she switched to Hindi and spoke to the film's lead hero Ehan. Rahman, who then started walking off the stage, stopped and said, "Hindi?" This statement made everyone laugh in the auditorium.

Later, Rahman clarified that he was just making some fun and there is nothing serious about it. But it can be made out that Rahman has huge respect for his mother tongue Tamil and thus he took a sly dig at Hindi.

99 songs are the maiden production venture of Rahman. The film will release on April 16th in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
