Tollywood awaits Radhe release

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan is all set to come up with his next project 'Radhe' which is going to get released simultaneously in theatres as well as OTT platforms through a pay-per-view model. Apart from theatres, the audience can start streaming the movie on Zee 5 app from 13th May but have to pay Rs. 249 to watch the film. This is the first time an Indian movie is testing this strategy.

We have seen movies that got released in theatres and movies that directly got released on digital platforms. From the past few years, all the movies that are getting released in the theatres are also streaming on digital platforms after a window period. But releasing the movie both digitally and theatrically on the same day is something Indian cinema has not attempted before. So, this strategy has been grabbing the attention of Tollywood filmmakers.

The makers of the upcoming Telugu films including Tuck Jagadish, Love Story, Ek Mini Katha, and others are also planning to try this strategy. So, they are eagerly waiting for the release of Radhe. If the movie does well in terms of collections, then we can say that a bunch of other projects will also come up with the same strategy.
