Mani Ratnam adapts Vijay Deverakonda's Strategy!

Vijay Deverakonda is one of the self-made stars in the Tollywood film industry. From his debut film Yevade Subrahmanyam to World Famous Lover, Vijay tried to be unique in the characters he played and the way he promoted them.

With Geetha Govindam, Vijay Deverakonda initiated a new promotional strategy where the film's lead actors engage in funny banter on social media and will give an update on the film's progress. Now, Mani Ratnam seems to have adapted a similar strategy for his new film Ponniyin Selvan.

Last night, the film's actor Jayam Ravi took to his Twitter profile to reveal that he has wrapped up the shoot. Joining him is his co-star Karthi who gave a funny reply yet dropped an update on the film's next schedule.

"They say leadership and learning is indispensable to each other. To watch you lead this magnum opus with utmost precision whilst imparting so much knowledge around has been an experience of a lifetime sir. Thank you for your blessings, your humour, your caring nature and above all for believing in me sir. I will truly miss being on set with you and look forward to the day to work with you again. Yours forever," tweeted Jayam Ravi.

Quoting Ravi's tweet, Karthi posted: "Prince, you can't take leave that soon. You have to do a lot of services to the Chola Kingdom. We will complete our works in the North in the next six days and come back to South- yours Vandhiyathevan".

The team will shoot for the film for a week more in North India and will return to Chennai for the next schedule.

Jayam Ravi plays the titular role Ponniyin Selvan aka Arulmozhi Varman. Karthi will be seen as Vandhiyathevan.
