Telugu director prepping up for Bollywood debut

Of late, Telugu films have been garnering a huge reception in North India. The latest example of this trend is Pushpa. Thus, many filmmakers are either dubbing or remaking their movies in Hindi.

Already, there are many South Indian remakes under production in Bollywood. Now, another film may join that list.

If the latest buzz is anything to go by, star director Harish Shankar is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the remake of his 2017 film DJ: Duvvada Jagannatham.

Starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles, DJ was a good hit at the box office. It seems that the film's producer Dil Raju is now planning to remake it in Hindi.

Apparently, Harish will helm the film and the makers are now hunting for a suitable young Bollywood actor to play the lead role in it.

More details about this movie are expected to be announced soon. As of now, Harish is busy with the works of his upcoming film Bhavadheeyudu Bhagat Singh, which stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead role.
