Suriya gets emotional while paying last respects to Captain Vijaykanth

Tamil actor Vijayakanth's recent demise due to a prolonged illness deeply saddened the entire Tamil film industry and political circles. Tamil superstar Suriya, who couldn't attend the last rites due to his shooting commitments for "Kanguva," paid his respects at Vijayakanth's grave in Chennai on Friday.

Today, Suriya visited the grave, where he was visibly emotional, breaking down in tears as he recalled his relationship with the late actor. Vijayakanth was laid to rest with state honors at the DMDK Office, and Suriya, offering flowers, paid his final respects.

Expressing his grief, Suriya stated, "Vijayakanth is like my elder brother and his loss is unbearable for me. I got an opportunity to work with him in 'Periya Anna,' and his encouragement is unmatched. He was a big celebrity during those days, and he was well-connected to everyone. I admire his courage. Captain helped many actors during the initial stage. We became too close in short spam and favorite later. Feeling sad for not getting time to spend with him. It's a lifetime regret for me. His loss cannot be compensated."

Vijayakanth passed away on December 28th in a private hospital in Chennai.
