Athade Srimannarayana is one of the movies released today. On the occasion of New Year, the movie released in theatres. The film's original version is Avane Srimannarayana in Kannada. This is the Telugu version of the film. The film stars Rakshit Shetty in the lead. Check out the review of the film here.

Story:
The film narrates the story of a cop solving the mystery of a treasure. Set up in a fictional town, Srimannarayana (Rakshit Shetty) a quirky new cop in town, starts chasing the mystery about the treasure that has been missing for the last fifteen years. Why did he put his eye on it? Who is the heir of the treasure? What did Srimannarayana do there? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:
Performances wise, Rakshit Shetty is good in his character. The mood, look and feel of his character is quirky and added as a big asset for the movie. Rakshit Shetty's performance is too good and his comedy timing is amazing. Rakshit Shetty attracted the audiences with a different style. Heroine Shanvi who earlier did the movies in Telugu has now come forward for this project and her role has got a lot of substance. Along with the performances, she is also good with music. All in all, the lead pair impressed everyone and the rest of the cast made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:
The story, screenplay, and dialogues were delivered with great care in the film. The first half is solid with quirky entertainment and the second half is a complete surprise which is too good than the first half. The editing is also so sharp with quick scene transitions. There are no boring scenes in the film. The camera work is exceptional. The visuals are eye-pleasing and the period setup has been captured well. The songs are good and the Telugu lyrics came out well. A little more care could have been taken for the dubbing. The background score is impressive. Technically, the film is good in all aspects.

Review:
After KGF, the film Athade Srimannarayana is a gem from the Kannada movie industry. The film's technical work reminds us of the Hollywood movies. The taking is good and the narrative structure is impressive. The director handled the subject extremely well and made sure it impresses all classes of the audiences. There are not many minus points in the film. There are no noted actors in the film which is why we fail to get connected to the other actors. A few scenes in the second half look dragged. Except that, the film is decent enough to make wonders at the box-office, if promoted well.

Plus Points:
Performances
Story
Screenplay
BGM

Minus Points:
Dubbing in few scenes
Few boring scenes in second half

Final Verdict: Athade Srimannarayana is a quirky entertainer with few thrills
