Former TN CM Jayalalitha has been on the news for her getting convicted in disaproportionate assets case and she became the first CM ever in India to be charged for corruption. This incident has stirred a buzz all over and cinema seems to be of no exception for it. A popular Kannada actress named Ragini Dwivedi would be reprising the role of Jayalalitha in an upcoming film which is inspired by the life and times of Jayalalitha.
The film, titled Amma will be released in five languages- Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. However, the film's team denies the film being called a biopic. Moreover, Mani Ratnam has already took Iruvar (Iddaru in Telugu) which featured Aishwarya Rai in the role of younger Jayalalitha.
