They belong to two different generations and one happens to be a queen of Tollywood who worked with all the top heroes and eventually drifted into politics, the other happens to be a heartthrob of ladies and a ‘darling’ to the youth and masses. The paths of the duo have intersected now.
They are Vijayashanti and young rebel star Prabhas respectively. News is that Prabhas has managed to break a record set by Vijayashanti. Apparently, Vijayashanti’s blockbuster hit Karthavyam came as Vyjayanthi IPS in 1990 in one of the popular theatre Vetri in Chennai.
It became the biggest and best dubbed Telugu hit. Now, after so many decades, Vijayanthi IPS record was broken by Baahubali and not only that, the film is reaching a comfortable 50 days mark and that too with sizeable theatre occupancy. It would take a while before another Telugu dubbed flick can beat Prabhas.
