Maadhav, son of actor Raghu and nephew of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, steps into the spotlight as a lead actor with the rustic action-drama Maremma. The film, set against an intense rural backdrop, marks the directorial debut of Manchala Nagaraj and is produced by Mayur Reddy Bandaru under Moksha Arts, their maiden venture. The makers who earlier made good impression with the film’s first look poster, unveiled its teaser today.

An outbreak grips the village, claiming the lives of both people and cattle. Desperate for relief, the villagers pray to the village deity, Maremma Thalli, seeking a divine solution. The protagonist is the guardian of the sacred bull belonging to the goddess- until one day, the bull mysteriously goes missing.

Though this is Maadhav’s debut film, he wisely chooses a story that aligns with current audience tastes. He appears in a completely rustic makeover and impresses with an intense performance. He indeed didn’t look like a debutant. Deepa Balu plays the female lead opposite him, while senior actor Vinod Kumar makes a solid impact as the village head.

For his first outing, director Mancharla Nagaraj weaves a story inspired by real events that took place in Telangana, set against an authentic village backdrop. Cinematographer Prasanth Ankireddy captures the rural atmosphere with striking realism, and music director Prashanth R Vihari heightens the tension with his powerful background score. Dev Rathod is the editor, and Rajkumar Murugesan is the art director.

Overall, the teaser has significantly raised expectations for the film. The makers have announced that the film Maremma will hit theatres soon.
