There was a lot riding on the outcome of the magnum opus Baahubali not just in terms of business and revenue but also in terms of the market stamina and the pride of Telugu film industry. True to that, Baahubali has surpassed all expectations and put entire Tollywood into a totally different hemisphere.
The way it has set a benchmark is now provoking many other industries to come up with a project that can be bigger and better than Baahubali. One such movie happens to be the Tamil flick Puli a multi-starrer. The film boasts of extensive graphics and some high caliber production values.
However, the trade pundits are giving their verdict. They say that Puli will create new records in Kollywood but it cannot go anywhere near Baahubali. Interestingly, the Tamil version of Rajamouli’s creation is still going steady and Puli needs to pull off an extraordinary miracle to come close to Baahubali. Let us wait and watch.
