It is not an easy task to bag a female centric role in the first go itself for a heroine in Telugu films! Such opportunity comes quite rarely in this hero worship industry but there are few heroines who got such golden chance. After Kamalinee Mukherjee in Anand, it was Lavanya Tripathi who got such opportunity to act in Andala Rakshasi. This cute actress scored a massive hit last year with Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and now all set to entertain the audience this Sankranti season with Soggade Chinni Nayana. Here is an iQlik exclusive chitchat with the actress:

Hello Lavanya..
Hi..

Please tell us about your character in Soggade Chinni Nayana..
I play a traditional girl in this film. In fact, it took me an hour to get the saree drape right for the role!

What is the most unique thing about Nagarjuna’s characterization in this film?
Nagarjuna sir did two roles that of Ramu and Bangarraju. He did remarkable variations for two different roles. I feel very fortunate to get the chance to work with him.

How was it working with yesteryear actress Ramya Krishna?
Honestly, I became her fan after working with her. She is too friendly and a resourceful personality.

What are your plans for celebrating Sankranthi as your film is releasing too?
Sankranthi isn’t celebrated that grand in the North but yeah I would be watching the film with family.

You seem to be very choosy in selecting scripts?
I did have ample offers but I am looking for doing a unique film every time. That is the main reason I am taking time in accepting subjects.

Do you think a Herione would be having a great role in determining the hit/flop status of a film?
Well, a film’s success or failure would depend on team work in which a female lead also has an important role.  I am not quite experienced to say whether just casting one heroine would determine success. However, I don’t like the tag Iron Leg given to actresses just because a film is a flop.

What about your other film Lakshmideviko Lekkundhi?
It is another unique film and my role has various shades. The film would surely appeal to all classes of audience.

There is a buzz about you not promoting the film much?
Not at all. I have been actively promoting the film whenever possible.

Any memorable experience while filming for Soggade Chinni Nayana?
My first scene itself had Ramya Krishna and Nagarjuna sir in the same frame. It was quite memorable and challenging too.

How do you manage to read your lines and master Telugu?
I study the script and prepare to deliver dialogues only after understanding the meaning. My main motto is to be a professional actress.

Upcoming projects?
I will be doing another project which is also a fresh and fun subject and besides that, I've signed one with Allu Sirish also.

All the very best on your future endeavours
Thank You (Smiles).
