Famous Singer Daler Mehndi who was sentenced to two years imprisonment in 2003 human trafficking case, gets bail. In the year 2003, a person called Bakshish Singh from Punjab’s Balbehra had lodged a complaint against Daler Mehndi and his brother Shamsher.
Bakshish Singh claimed that he duped him and promised to send him abroad and never returned the money. The Patiala Police filed two discharge petitions stating that Daler Mehndi is innocent in the year 2006.
Daler Mehndi and his brother were found guilty under various sections of IPC. They were guilty in the proceedings conducted by Punjab's Patiala Court and got sentenced to two years of imprisonment. Later, the singer was M let off later with a fine of Rs 10,000 on bail.
