That was the golden age of Tollywood and those were the days when directors like K.V. Reddy made films to perfection. K.V. Reddy was more of a perfectionist than a director. He used to pay attention to each and every detail starting with script, screenplay, music, dialogues including sets and lighting. He used to re-shoot the whole scene if there were any issues regarding anything. Such was his dedication towards cinema. But once, even a genius like K.V. Reddy had to give an explanation to a set boy! Why would a perfectionist like K.V. Reddy give an explanation to some random set boy? How did he defend himself? What exactly happened? Well, IQlik Movies won’t keep you hanging anymore! Here’s the interesting incident that happened:

In 1962, one day during the making of the film, Sri Krishnarjuna Yuddham, they were shooting a scene, a conversation between Lord Brahma and goddess Saraswati. K.V. Reddy okayed the scene, as it went well. Meanwhile, mild murmurs were heard from a corner. Generally, if it was a K.V. Reddy’s film, the whole set used to be of pin drop silence, but not on that day! The disturbed director turned his head towards the corner to find out who was whispering. He found a set boy saying something softly to his fellow workers. He called the boy and demanded an explanation, to which the boy politely replied, “Sir, I have a small doubt. When Lord Brahma has 4 heads covering all directions, why does he have to turn his head towards Saraswati to talk? Why can’t he just talk through the other head facing her?”. This question by the set boy startled K.V. Reddy. He saw complete sense in the boy’s point, thought for a while and without putting him off, K.V. Reddy gently replied, “Yes, Lord Brahma indeed has 4 heads and he can definitely talk to goddess Saraswati without turning his head, but we have limitations in the technology we use. The graphics are not so advanced. One day we might achieve it, but now we can’t make it happen”. Saying so, he admitted to the fact that they had limitations and also appreciated the boy for speaking out. Well, though there were limitations in technology, it never stopped great directors like K.V. Reddy from making such amazing movies.
