Naaga story at a glance

Nagaraju (NTR) is a law student and the son of a poor Bailiff (Raghuvaran) who wants to see his son Naaga as a noble lawyer. Chandra Sekhara Naidu (Nazar) is the CM of the state. The Home Minister (Rajan P Dev) is looking for an opportunity to destabilize CM. HM has an affair with a woman who poses herself as a social worker called Mandaram (Shakeela). Mandaram wants to contest in elections as MLA for a seat. When the Chief Minister refuses to give ticket to Mandaram, the HM joins hands with an opposition leader Potti Kasaiah (Paruchuri Gopala Krishna). He then launches Mandaram as an independent candidate. In one of such political rally campaigns, the goons happen to enter the house of Naaga and injure his sister and mother. Naaga gets in to quarrel with them and beats them. They register a case on Naaga in which he impresses with a speech on discomfort caused by political campaigns. His case hits the headlines and reaches CM who later appoints him as the youth leader for his ruling party. And the rest of the story is about the tussle between both the parties and Naaga's role in it.

  • Trade

Naaga released too much hype for the day one since it is a movie based on Politics. Nandamuri family’s political relevance had also added to the hype. The first look stills of the movie and superb music album had also contributed to the huge expectations in the audience. But the movie failed to reach them and finally ended up as a big flop.
