Kick story at a glance

Kalyan (Ravi Teja) who always wants a thrilled life rather than a regular life style.  He seeks kick in whatever he does and goes to any extent to get it. He falls in love with Naina (Ileana) whose sister in turn loves Kalyan. But Naina won’t accept Kalya, Krishna (Shyam) is a young cop who is in search of a most wanted thief, who happens to be Kalyan. Meanwhile Naina gets engaged to Krishna. How Krishna and Naina story is related? Will Kalyan wins back Naina love and what about Krishna’s hunt of most wanted thief, is the rest of the story.

    This film is the biggest hit in Ravi Teja's career. Kick completed 50 days in 220 centers, of which 200 were in Andhra Pradesh. The film was declared a blockbuster hit and was the only success for the Tollywood industry in the summer of 2009. The film grossed 25 crores on the whole and completed 100 days in 52 theaters.

    • Thaman made debut as music director with this film.
    • This is also the first commercial movie from ‘R.R. Movie Makers’ banner.
    •  Second female lead Asheenka made debut in this film. But later she fell short of offers.

  • Sidelights

    • In 2009, Raviteja was first approached for title role in Hindi remake. But he rejected it.
    • Bollywood producer Sajid Nadiadwala intended to remake this film with A. R. Murugadoss as director. But it did not materialize.
    • Salman Khan has been signed for the remake and Shirish Kunder will be directing the film.
