Arya 2 story at a glance

Arya (Allu Arjun) and Ajay (Navadeep) are friends since childhood. Ajay does not like Arya but the later forces Ajay to make friendship with him. Years later, Ajay becomes big businessman, and once again Arya puts Ajay in a situation to take him as ‘Software Engineer’ in his company. Arya behaves as Mr. Perfect at his office. Geeta (Kajal) enters into the office. Arya falls for her instantly but she falls for Ajay. And the rest of the story is how this triangular love reaches climax.

    Arya -2 is the second combination of Allu Arjun and Sukumar. It was their first movie, Arya which changed the fate of Allu Arjun and made him a big hero.  This made high expectations on the movie. But Arya-2 did not live up to those expectations. The movie run was also hampered due to Telangana agitation in the state.
  • Highlights

    • This is the first combination of Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal. Later both of them together as a pair acted in Ram Charan’s Yevadu.
    • Arya-2 is the second combination of Allu Arjun and director Sukumar. Earlier they have paired up for Arya, the second movie of Allu Arjun.
    • This is the first time Navadeep acting in a negative role in a movie.
  • Sidelights

    • The movie was dubbed into Malayalam with the same title and released across Kerala and was a super hit there.
    • The item number in the movie, "Ringa Ringa" created a cult status. This song was played in Cricket stadiums during the breaks of Indian Premier League and 2011 Cricket World Cup held in Bangalore. Also, the music of the song was re-used by Devi Sri Prasad in the Salman Khan movie, Ready as "Dhinka Chika".
    • Even though, the movie was titled ‘Arya-2’, the movie is not a sequel to the original movie, Arya.
    • Allu Arjun’s uncle Chiranjeevi had announced his stand in support of Samayikya Andhra then. Angry Telangana agitators disrupted the movie screening in the Nizam region
