Kotha Bangaru Lokam story at a glance

Balu (Varun Sandesh) and Swapna (Swetha Basu Prasad) are students who fall in love in an intermediate college in West Godavari district. In one of their secret outings, they get caught by the college management and on the same day, their photo appears in a local Newspaper in a romantic pose. Swapna’s father (Ahuti Prasad) takes her home and Balu gets suspended from college. What happens next in the love story and how they unite froms the rest of the story.

    This is the second movie of Varun Sandesh after Happy Days and it is the next movie of Dil Raju’s stable after the super hit, Bommarillu. Hence there are good expectations on the movie. The excellent audio only doubled the expectations. Finally the movie ended up as good hit.
  • Highlights

    • Award winning Child actress of Iqbal fame, Swetha Basu Prasad made her filmy entry as heroine with this movie. She sparkled for a while but disappeared slowly after a handful of films.
    • Srikanth Addala made his directorial debut with this film. He later restarted the multistarer movies trend with Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu starring Venkatesh and Mahesh. He became a star director with the movie's success.
  • Sidelights

    • It was a star night for the audio launch of the movie. Stylish star Allu Arjun unveiled the audio CD, presenting it to NTR, who formally purchased the first album. Prabhas released the audio cassette and gave it to director Bommarillu Bhaskar.
    • The movie has 25 real students playing the reel students in the movie with the consent of the college management and parents.
