Nenu Naa Rakshasi story at a glance

Abhimanyu (Rana) is professional shooter and in this process kills a local gangster Ratna’s (Abhimanyu Singh) father and brother. He falls in love with Meenakshi (Ileana) who works at a cafeteria.  Meanwhile Vikram (Subbaraju), Circle Inspector will be appointed on a special duty to trace a YouTube account holder ‘It is My Life Boss.’ This account deals with capturing and uploading of suicides of people who wish to commit suicide. Abhimanyu too decides to commit suicide after his Mother dies and calls up that particular YouTube account creator to shoot the video. That is when the hero comes to know that the youtube account is managed by none other than Meenakshi herself. Will Abhimanyu commit suicide or will Ratna find Abhimanyu and what is reason behind Meenakshi’s such act forms the rest of the story.

    The film did not fare well at box office. Critics have claimed it was a suicidal attempt by director Puri Jagannadh.
  • Highlights

    • Ileana for the first time played dual role in this film.
    • It’s the first combination of Puri and Rana, Ileana and Rana. Also the second combination of Puri and Ileana, later Ileana was featured in ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ for the third time in Puri’s film.
    • The major portion of second half of the film was shot in Venice.
  • Sidelights

    • Puri opted for three music directors in this film. Viswa, Rehman and Anoop Rubens. Viswa and Rehman composed two songs each and Anoop provided background music.
    • Even before Puri narrated the story to Rana, he wrote 60 scenes of the film on his own.
    • 'Padithinammo..' song in this film is remake of  Micheal Jackson's popular album 'Leave Me alone'. And 'Paapam Punyam'  is a straight copy from  Scottish singer KT-Tunstall's album.
