Chirunavvutho story at a glance
There are two tracks in the story involving Venu (Venu), a chef, Aruna (Prema), his mardalu and Sandhya (Shaheen), a rich businessman’s daughter.
Track1: Aruna runs away the night before the marriage as Venu is just a chef and elopes with an unknown guy.
Track2: Sandhya gives feelers to Venu as she had feelings for him but later it is revealed that she cheated him and gets ready to marry a guy named Pratap (Prakash Raj).
In the later part of the story, Venu finds Aruna cheated and ready to commit suicide. And just days before her marriage, Sandhya starts to develop real feelings for Venu. What happens next in this story has to be seen on the big screen.

The budget for Chirunavvuto was a little over 2 crores and it collected a share of 5 crores. The film was released 35 days after the Nuvve Kavali release but managed to withstand Nuvve Kavali's rage at the box office. Chiru Navvuto would have become a bigger hit, if Nuvve Kavali is not in fray. -
Highlights
- The director of the film, Ram Prasad made his debut with this movie. He even went on to bag Nandi Award for the best debut director.
- This is the second film of Venu with dialogues by Trivikram Srinvas.

Sidelights
- The movie plot is loosely inspired from 1997 Italian comedy-drama film Life Is Beautiful.
- The film was remade in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages. Shaheen Khan who acted in the original reprised the same role in Tamil and Kannada. The Hindi remake ‘Muskurake Dekh Zara’ is not credited and is a freemake.
