Nenunnanu story at a glance
Anu (Shriya) loves Arun (subbaraju), son of a big shot, JP (Mukesh Rushi) and tries to elope with him. Police nabs Arun and Anu is saved bu Venu (Nagarjuna) who is an orphan. Anu's father gets agitated with her and leaves her to fate. It was then Venu stands for Anu. Rest of the story is about what happens to Anu and Venu.

The movie created good expectations prior to its release as Nagarjuna is in super form with the successes of Santosham, Manmadhudu, Shivamani and Mass. However too much of sentiment quotient killed the movie too some extent and it remained as an average. -
Highlights
- Shriya Saran earlier played second heroine role in Nagarjuna’s Santosham movie. She bagged the main lead in this film. Later on she paired up with Nag again in Manam too.
- Nenunnanu is the first collaboration of Nagarjuna and VN Aditya. Later they paired up once again for Boss.
