Ninne Pelladatha story at a glance

Ninne Pelladatha is one of the most successful feel good love stories which came in the 90s decade of Tollywood. Let it be the way family values were depicted, fresh music, performances, fun times- Ninne Pelladatha rocked Andhra Pradesh during the time of its release and still remains to be one of the best love stories ever.

Story Details:
Seenu (Nagarjuna) is a fearless youth belonging to a family which is high on emotional values and affections.  Mahalakshmi (Lakshmi) is his mom who is quite attached to her son and their family lives close with Murthy (Chandramohan)’s family as well. It is when another Mahalakshmi (Tabu) who arrives in Seenu’s house for the purpose of flying club training. She gets too attached to Seenu’s family and gets amazed with the affectionate living of Seenu and Murthy’s families.  Incidentally, she falls in love with Seenu as well and things turn happy when Seenu’s family accepts their marriage proposal. But Mahalakshmi’s mom is none other than Seenu’s aunt who is abandoned by the family for marrying without her brother’s consent. Rest of the story is about whether Seenu and Mahalakshmi unite eventually facing the hardships.

Performances:
Nagarjuna excels as the doting son of a huge family and a person with individualistic ideas. His performance in emotional scenes and brilliant chemistry with his female co star Tabu works wonders on screen. Tabu is brilliant as the female lead with ample glamour as well as great acting skills. S.P.Shailaja dubbed for Tabu and it aided so much to the value of her characterization. Lakshmi is adorable as hero’s mother and does her job perfectly. Chalapathi Rao, and Chandramohan do brilliantly as the chilled out elders and great friends. Uttej, Ramaprabha, Jeeva, Ahuthi Prasad etc played pivotal roles.

Technical Aspects:
Though the basic storyline is inspired heavily from Dilwale Dulhaina Le Jayenge and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Krishna Vamshi makes sure the nativity and Telugu culture is not missed. The freshness in every frame is evident with Krishna Vamshi’s direction. Music by debutant Sandeep Chowtha is brilliantly top notch and the songs became chartbusters. Yeto vellipoyindhi manasu, Kannullo nee roopame became all time hits. Lyrics by Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry do wonders yet again.
