Superstar Rajinikanth was supposed to attend Cannes Film Festival this year and unveil the trailer of his upcoming magnum opus film ‘Kochadaiyaan’ (‘Vikram Simha’ in Telugu). However the plans went bust as his daughter, who is also the director of the film, couldn’t finish the trailer in time. The reason given by the unit for the delay was that they were not satisfied with the final output and didn’t want to showcase the unfinished work at such a prestigious film festival.
‘Kochadaiyaan’ is said to be India’s first film using motion capture technology to its fullest. The special effects used are said to be on par with Hollywood big budget pictures and hence the unit didn’t want to give a sub-par first impression with the film’s first trailer.
