AP Cine Musicians Association is taking stringent measures to prevent the local musicians going to Chennai or other states for re-recording or mixing of songs. The law states that the films produced in AP must have the recording in AP but several of our musicians prefer to go to Chennai for their recording, which has irked the AP Cine Musicians Association.

12 percent entertainment tax is paid for the films which have their recording done in Hyderabad and double the tax, if the recording is done outside the state. In order to avoid taxes a bad practice of faking certificates was started where by some musicians used fake certificates showing that recording happened in Hyderabad when in reality it happened in Chennai. From coming August 15, such erroneous behavior will not be allowed warns the Cine Musicians Association.
