All of you are well aware of the number of hits and flops Tollywood is seeing and it must be admitted that the flops dominate hits in a big way. Due to this, a lot of study is happening on how to make things better and this is what our research has to say about surviving in Tollywood.
There are four factors to be considered. Firstly, it is the Star factor, the top star movies having Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Jr NTR etc have their own share of market so their films are always in demand. Secondly, it is the sex factor. For instance, even before it is completed, enquiries have begun on RGV’s new movie Sridevi.
Distributors are showing interest on when it is coming. Sometime back, a dubbed movie called Rathinirvedam came and people and distributors showed a lot of interest in it. The third factor is the fun factor. The film must be a complete comedy entertainer to grab audience attention. Last but not the least, the fourth factor is the shock factor.
Films like Hrudaya Kaaleyam, Ee Rojullo, Second Hand created their own shock factor because they crossed certain lines. Also, it is important that not much gap should be given once promos are out and release. There is a dire needed to promote small films as well as big movies. The industry is running entirely on this. Hence, if these four factors are given maximum priority, success rate becomes high.
