There was a time when filmmaking was all about the art and respecting the craft but in today’s time it is an avenue of business. The only target for most of them is to make money at the box office. While they come up with out of the box concepts, it is only a few who really manage to do some magic.
One such filmmaker is the Bollywood man Shoojit Sorcar. He has come up with offbeat subjects and created a wave. One of his ventures was Vicky Donor revolving around the life of a sperm donor and it became a cult hit. Now, Shoojit has come up with another movie Piku.
This revolves around gas and shit and that too with stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and the burgundy eyed beauty Deepika Padukone. That way, he is coming up with unconventional subjects and rocking with a lot of comedy. All this is spinning a lot of money at the box office though it may sound a little weird.
