Whenever a film is being planned for shooting, most of the directors tend to plan a schedule abroad. While this is a common thing for big budget flicks, we are talking about the small budget movies as well. Earlier, even if it is a small movie, Bangkok or some other foreign nation was being used.

This is because distributors used to demand for that and if a foreign location was used then the producers used to get a decent price from the distributors. However, the current status is that foreign shootings have reduced for many small films. Apparently, the distributors are not even demanding it.

This is because small budget flicks have lost their demand completely and it is taking humongous effort for the small movie makers to get a decent number of theatres and buyers. On the other hand, the audience interest in coming to theatres has also dipped considerably striking a major deathblow to the small budget sector. Let us wish things improve soon.
