You may have noticed that since the last few days, a lot of talk was happening about the satellite rights of the magnum opus Baahubali. It looked as if the media baron Ramoji Rao is going to get the satellite rights for his ETV Channel and the grapevine also added it would be at a lesser price.
However, the latest update has arrived and it is not meant to happen like that. Reliable sources have confirmed that the satellite rights for the movie have been taken for a whopping amount of Rs 30 crores. And the channel to take it is Zee. Buzz is that the amounts are 17 cr for Telugu and 13 cr for Hindi.
This is perhaps the highest ever figure recorded for the satellite rights of a movie by any TV channel in Tollywood’s history. For that matter, even a well budgeted Bollywood movie tends to get about 9 to 10 crores as satellite rights but Baahubali seems to have scored a record in this segment as well.
