From a very long time, Sandalwood had the rule that dubbed movies would not be entertained. This was a genuine reason given the fact that the industry is small and the advent of dubbed movies from Telugu or Tamil or Malayalam is sure to eat into the limited market of Sandalwood.
However, the latest update is that the Sandalwood biggies have finally given their green signal for dubbing the movies into Kannada. So, releasing a Telugu movie in Kannada language is no longer a hassle. This would open up a new avenue of revenue for the Tollywood filmmakers and producers.
