Courier Boy Kalyan is an anticipated romantic adventure starring lover boy Nithiin and talented actress Yami Gautam in lead roles. This film is from the prestigious production house Photon Kathaas lead by versatile filmmaker Gautham Menon. Music for the this flick is composed by popular playback singer Karthik and here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:
The trendiest album of the season begins with Maya Maya sung by the composer Karthik himself in breathtaking ease. The track celebrates the feeling of love in terms of trumpets, amazing bass work and catchy tune. It is indeed brilliant to hear a feel good melody with less techno sounds and unnecessary usage of musical layers.
Bangaramma is like a reprise version of Hosanna from Gautham Menon’s Ye Maaya Chesave but with additional optimism and peculiar lyrics. Gripping electric guitar, Karthik’s tweaked metallic voice makes it a contemporary musical magic! A very special mention should be made for Ananth Sriram, who is a regular for Gautham Menon’s Telugu albums for penning such interesting lines!
It is time to hit the dance floor with an unconventional party number Mandu Mandu equipped with House mix, trance and interesting usage of vocals by Rap master Baba Seghal and Karthik. Instead of being too loud being a party number, this track follows a different route of Party tracks in Telugu Films! The chord progression , rhythm section- in short every aspect of the song is quite laid back.
The album strikes an impending finale with a typical folk duet Vaallu Kalla PIlla which one would come across in Nitin’s recent films. Composer Anup’s funky vocals are complimented greatly with Suchitra’s mellowed singing. The track touches many genres ranging from American Country, Telugu Folk without losing balance in terms of contemporary feel.
Nithiin scores another feel good album in his acting career once again through Courier Boy Kalyan. Karthik, who won our hearts through his voice strikes it better as a composer now as well!
