The bubbly and cute Punjabi beauty Rakul Preet has been ruling Tollywood now with her back to back film chances opposite all young heroes in the tinsel town. She showed her acting prowess in her first film Venkatadri Express itself and with the success of Loukyam, she became a lucky charm! Now, the actress has appeared opposite Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja in Kick 2 which released last Friday. Here is an iQlik exclusive chitchat with the actress:

Hello Rakul.. congrats on your new film Kick 2!
Hi.. thanks a lot!

Did you watch the film along with fans in normal theatres?
No! I saw the film in UK as I was shooting for my next project with Jr.NTR. I really enjoyed Kick 2 and felt the film had good variations.

There is a comment that Kick 2 had lesser comedy compared to its predecessor. What would you say?
Well, the film does have comedy but it isn’t throughout. Kick 2 is not an out and out comedy film but is a complete package of sentiment, action ad comedy.

You were seen in a liplock with Ravi Teja in Kick 2? Are you open to act in such intimate scenes?
I wasn’t told about the liplock scene until I was on the sets! I eventually did it because the character demanded so. I was impressed with the way Surender Reddy narrated it to me. In fact I did a lip lock for my first Bollywood film and back then my mom was there on the sets! I broke down to tears soon after I did the scene! I request everyone to watch it just like any other scene!

How was it working with Ravi Teja for the first time?
He is a very energetic person and an absolute delight to work with. In fact, he told me that I am his lady version which made my day!

You are called the lucky charm for any Telugu film now. How does it feel to hear that?
I am glad to hear that but according to me, a film’s success depends on the team’s effort but not just luck!

How is it being part of most of the big projects which are due for release now?
I am really delighted to be part of them and will work hard to give my best.

After working for long period in Tollywood, how do you feel here?
It is a superb film industry. People are very committed to their work and things are greatly organized.

How is your Telugu learning stint going on?
(Smiles) These days I'm conversing alot in Telugu. One big advantage is that all my staff members are Telugites! As a result, I could pick up the language easily.

Will you dub yourself for films then?
I tried dubbing for few scenes in Kick 2 but need to master the language more. It will take little time to become proficient in it.

About replacing Samantha in Brahmotsavam?
I was offered a key role in Brahmotsavam but couldn’t accept it due to dates reasons. Samantha is doing the role. I hope to act with Mahesh Babu someday!

How about your role in Srinu Vaitla’s project RC9?
It is a typical female lead role. I am glad to be part of such entertaining project.

What about your personal life?
I am not thinking much about it now. I’ve been working nonstop since three years without a leave and I'm rather happy this way.

Do you have any special ambition in career?
The only ambition is to become a successful actor in long run. People should remember my work and I should make good films.

Any new project signed of late?
No! I am already held up with so many projects in line and hence didn’t sign up anything new.

Okay..thanks and wish you the best!
Thank you!
