For many, the Padma Awards is considered a great achievement and among the various categories, the Padmasri title is a sought after one. The latest update on that front is, the legendary songwriter Veturi Sundararamamurthy is among the probables and inside news reveals he is going to get it for sure.
Veturi’s name is coming along with Vandemataram Srinivas and Nata Kireeti Rajendra Prasad. Another Telugu name which has been recommended for the Padma Bhushan title is that of actor/politician/realtor Murali Mohan. Sources say AP government has sent this recommendation. The question now is, will Veturi get it. Many feel he should have got it when he was alive but even now it is not too late.
