Senior Comedian Kallu Chidambaram passes away

Telugu cinema lost one more jewel in its crown. Senior comedian and well known stage artist Kallu Chidamabaram (70) passed away.

Going into the details, the senior actor was admitted at a private hospital in Vishakapatnam due to respiratory ailment where he breathed his last this morning. His last rites are also being planned in Vizag city and further details shall be out shortly.

He debuted into the industry with a film called Kallu in 1988. He was awarded the prestigious Nandi award for his impeccable performance in that film and that title turned as his surname later. His last noted performance was in Sri Sai Sankalpam (2013).

Kallu Chidambaran made significant contribution towards theatre arts. He founded an organization called Sakala Kalala Samakya for the welfare of stage artists and with the help of more than 1500 artists he developed this organization.
