Are you thinking Samantha is missing in action from a while? Well, even though she has no intentions of turning controversial, situations are pushing her into the headlines time and again.
While her latest outing 10 Endrathakulla (featuring Vikram, Rahul Dev etc) has bagged an “average” talk, Samantha made it into the news for the same film. Sam played a dual role in the film wherein one of it is that of a notorious bandit. As a part of it, Samantha is seen smoking in couple of scenes and this pushed her into trouble now.
A Hindu right wing party Hindu Makkal Katchi is demanding an unconditional apology from Samantha for endorsing smoking in the film. They allege that Sam’s smoking act would incite many other women to follow suit. The party even warned that they would stage a protest in front of Samantha’s residence in case she doesn’t apologize.
This onscreen smoking act has got many heroes into trouble in the past and now Samantha also fell prey to it. We need to wait and see if Samantha will apologize!
