The festival of Diwali is considered very auspicious for many film fraternities and it is more sacred for the Kollywood folks. This is the time when they release their most promising movies and this time, it was the turn of two big movies to take the litmus test at the box office.
They are Thoongavanam starring Universal Star Kamal Haasan and Vedhalam starring ‘Thala’ Ajith. Reports from different collection centers reveal Kamal’s movie scored more on his performance and the fast paced screenplay than the content. The film is going steady with good collections.
Ajith’s movie came in with a lot of hype and it created an explosive opening right on the first day by garnering a whopping 15.5 crores at the box office. This is a new record in Kollywood and now the coming weekend is going to be crucial for both the movies to declare whether they entered the success mark or not.
