Kollywood’s powerful star Dhanush is well known for his distinct taste in selecting scripts not only as an actor but also as a quality producer. However, this doesn’t mean his career was a cakewalk without any controversies! Dhanush had to battle many controversies prior to release of his films such as Velai Illa Pattadhari (Raghuvaran B.Tech in Telugu) and national award winning film Kaaka Muttai as well.
But now, just when the actor is delighted with stupendous success of his latest production Naanum Rowdy Thaan, he is stuck with a fresh controversy! Dhanush recently endorsed Tata Sky- a premium DTH brand in India. The actor’s lines speak about cable operators who take money in a lump sum and requests the customers to switch to DTH instead. This comment has hurt the sentiments of Cable operators all over Tamil Nadu and they are demanding an apology from the actor.
The cable operators felt that the ad was quite insulting to their profession and asked Dhanush to call for a ban on the ad as well. They even said that if Dhanush doesn’t apologize, they would go for a strike in front of his residence.
