Dictator is an upcoming action entertainer starring Nandamuri Balakrshna, Anjali and Sonal Chauhan in the lead roles. The film is directed by Loukyam fame Srivass and music is composed by S.S.Thaman. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The feisty album begins with a devotional fusion Gam Gam Ganesha with trance like beats and already gained popularity since the time it was released during Ganesh Chaturthi.  The song has a catchy tune along with thumping rhythm section making it an ideal song to begin a fun album with.

It is time for a fun mass number What’s up Baby sung by Naveen and Malavika in their trendiest vocals. The song has instant appeal with high energy rhythm and fiery electric guitar. Thaman proves once again he is the master of percussions department with his expertise over the field.

Chura Chura is a typical Thaman composition with Hip-Hop beats, mild strings and groovy tune. Sanjana does a commendable job with her sweet voice and ably joined by melodious singer Sri Krishna. Rama Jogayya Sastry’s poetic lyrics are a major contribution for this soothing number. However, the song has strange resemblance with Gala Gala from Race Gurram composed by Thaman himself.

The album gets a mass appeal with Tingo Tingo sung by the high energy singers Kaushalya, Geetha Madhuri and Simha. The folk flavor is evident right from the prelude with a linear progression in beats. The song makes complete justice to the tag of “Balakrishna mass number!”. Thaman delivers another mass number which has irresistible resemblance to Cinema Chupistha Maava from Race Gurram.

The title track Dictator arrives next with impressive chord progression and angry bass work.  It has a spontaneous feel associated with it and the chorus rendition by Sathyan, Solar Sai Sharan , Sri Krishna and Naveen deliver an instant hit and equipped with elevating lyrics penned by Rama Jogayya Sastry.

Now a massive finale with another peppy number Gana Gana makes its way , sung by the energetic singer Simha supported well by Sameera Bharadwaj.  The track has little scope for more experimentation and stays true to its genre of funky commercial numbers.

Verdict:
Dictator is an album which is faithful to the commercial formulaic film and is high on entertainment. Despite less scope for experimentation, Thaman sticks to his strengths in delivering this funky offering.
