Rs 68 Cr Is Just The Publicity Cost

In order to ensure a movie becomes a success, it is important to give it that kind of reach and penetration among the public. This is the reason why Bollywood believes in catering a large pie of their budget towards promotion and publicity. While that is understood, this is something beyond comprehension.

Recently, the much talked about movie Dilwale hit the screens and it featured Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan, sparkling beauty Kajol, the energetic stud Varun Dhawan and our very own Kriti Sanon. Reports now reveal the makers spent a bomb on the publicity which amounted to a whopping 68 crores.

So far, this is the highest publicity budget in the history of Indian cinema for any movie. In the past, Happy New Year featuring King Khan reportedly spent a premium 25 crores and all were shocked hearing that figure. Wonder what will happen now when they know the promotional budget for Dilwale.
