Language is always the key essence for anyone’s identity and this is the reason why states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu are quite firm on their film titles. In Tamil, there is a rule that English titles must not be kept whereas in Kannada they don’t encourage English titles.
But in Tollywood the scene is completely different. A lot of English titles come right from movies featuring top stars to the regular ones. Once in a while you get to see authentic Telugu titles such as SVSC, Brahmotsavam, Seetamma Andaalu Ramayya Sitraalu, Soggade Chinni Nayana and others.
Only when pure Telugu titles are coming, the people are connecting. For English titles they are not connecting. Call it commercial or heritage, pure Telugu titles should come because it is not swallowing the creativity of the directors. In fact, they can also think properly and come up with good titles instead of coming up with confusing English titles.
