The nightingale of South India- P Suseela is one of the greatest playback singers Indian Cinema has ever produced. She is often called as Lata Mangeshkar for South Films as she can sing all south Indian languages with equal ease. There are hundreds of songs which came from this legendary singer and she won many hearts for decades with her sweet voice.
P Suseela entered the prestigious Guinness Book of Records for singing 17,330 songs in 12 Indian Languages. The usually reserved singer was obviously delighted with the news and she said that there was lot of hard work and dedication behind this achievement.
It would be shocking to know that P Suseela was singing in films right from 1951 and lent her voice for yesteryear actresses till the latest leading ladies!
