If you are a regular follower of cinema, you would have observed something. Most of the much anticipated films are facing copyright complaints especially with their release around the corner.

We have recently seen a writer claiming rights over Chiru’s Kaththi story and now a lyricist & writer named Farooq Barelvi lodged a copyright case against Bollywood film Housefull 3. Going into the details, Farooq claims that he registered a script called Tigdambaz at the Association of Writers in 2009 and was later narrated to Akshay’s makeup man Narendra Kushwala as well. After listening to the script, Narendra even promised that he will produce this film with Akshay as the lead but years later the same script was made as Housefull 3, says Farooq. So he lodged a copyright complaint against directors’ duo Sajid-Farhad for allegedly lifting the story without his consent.

On the other hand, producer Sajid Nadiadwala stated that none came to him with the claim before. Meanwhile Police confirmed the written complaint by the writer and are investigating into this.
