Mozart of Madras- A R Rahman is once again back in Oscar’s race and coincidentally this time also he is having a great chance of winning the two trophies.
Going into the details, AR Rahman name has featured in the initial list of contenders in two categories- Best Original Score & Best Original Song Category in 89th Academy Awards. He got these two nominations for the movie called- Pele: Birth of a Legend based on the life history of a legendary Soccer player- Pele.
Well, AR Rahman’s ‘Ginga’ song for this film has become a blockbuster and this gave him the spot to compete with 91other songs from other films. The final list of the Oscar nominations will be announced on 24th of January and the awards presentation will take place on 26th of February, famous Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center will be the hosting place.
We wish and hope Rahman would repeat the act of winning double trophies like in the year 2009 for Slumdog Millionaire.
