Tollywood was one solid entity for many decades but the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh gave rise to a split. Entities like Telangana Film Producers Council and others sprang up. Similarly, another Film Chamber also came up at Road number 2 in Navodaya Colony.
This was named as ‘Navyandhra Film Chamber’ and this was meant to be the entity for the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. However, the latest updates reveal there seems to be no authenticity or verified evidence that says it is a registered body.
It is nearing three years since Andhra Pradesh has been broken into two and yet the second film chamber seems to be in dark. Whether the Tollywood biggies are keen to go for a second chamber or continue in the current way is something we will know in the coming days.
