Quite often you would come across the statement that the true satisfaction and happiness for any artist or filmmaker is when he/she gets an award of recognition. You would expect the same from a top league filmmaker also but the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli thinks completely otherwise.
Recently Rajamouli shared his reaction on his magnum opus Bahubali not getting selected for the prestigious Oscars race. He made it clear that awards are never his criteria and the main agenda behind him making a movie is, satisfaction to himself, maximum reach to audience and money for those who were involved in shaping it.
He was explicit enough in mentioning that if awards come it is good enough but even if they don’t it doesn’t make a difference. His words were crystal clear like his thoughts. Meanwhile, India has sent a Bollywood movie Newton featuring Rajkkumar Rao in the lead. Let us wait to see if Newton can make us proud or not.
