"Rangasthalam"- A Silent Remake?

It has been a while since the film ‘Rangasthalam 1985’ has been on the floors and just when most of you were preparing to watch it during Sankranthi, the film has got postponed to the summertime. Meanwhile, different speculations are emerging regarding this project and the latest is creating a lot of curiosity among the gossip mills.

Apparently ‘Rangasthalam’ is being touted as a silent remake of the movie ‘Ooriki Ichchina Maata’ which had megastar Chiranjeevi. This came way back in 1985. While it is not sure how true this is, some are drawing few recent inferences. They say that the film ‘Meena’ was made into ‘A…Aa’ and Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Agnyathavasi’ looks like a remake of ‘Ontari Poratam’.

Given this, as precedence is this also a reboot remake is the question. For now, the storyline revealed by few inside sources finds similarity with Chiru’s flick. To give some benefit of a doubt, logic director Sukumar is one man who believes in originality so as we see the upcoming promos we would get further clarity.
