The week has begun and it is time to have a look at what happened in the weekend that passed by at the box office. Well, it gives us no pleasure to say this but then the first week of July has turned out to be rather disappointing. The industry folks were hoping the June syndrome will not catch on but the effect still lingers on.

Last week saw two releases in the form of ‘Pantham’ featuring aggressive star Gopichand and ‘Tej I Love You’ featuring Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej. Prior to release, there were some expectations on ‘Pantham’ due to the catchy trailer and some engaging performance from Gopichand. However, the film fell flat due to predictable content and weak direction.

As for ‘Tej I Love You’, right from its promotions to the rather disinterested body language of Sai Dharam, the film could not emit positive vibes and the results of it is now being seen. Due to this, the small budget flick ‘Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi’ is able to take advantage and it looks set to get into the profit zone soon.
