The list of superstars is long when we look at the male protagonists but the list is extremely small when it comes to the ladies. From many decades the cinema business has been quite hero centric and it is only in the recent times that even some of the heroines are able to pull crowds to the theatres with them as the protagonists.

So far, the Bollywood heroines like Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Bachchan have shown the capacity to score hits as protagonists but now one starlet from the south has surpassed them. She is none other than the gracious beauty Nayanthara. While Nayan has proved her mettle as a commercial heroine, she has now changed the gears.

She has been coming up with heroine oriented movies and has been scoring hits with the latest being her Tamil movie ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’. The reason why she is now being called as India’s most successful is due to her consistency. None of the other star heroines have been able to score hits as consistently as Nayan in lead role. Way to go Nayan!
